Mildred Hettie Dixon, 89 of Ironton, Mo., formerly of Malden
and Gideon, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at the Baptist Home in Ironton.
Born July 9, 1915, in Rotan, Texas, daughter of the late
Russell and Laura Kilmer Yarbrough, she was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
On May 28, 1932, in Fulton, Ky., she married Robert Dixon,
who preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1991. She was also preceded in death by
two sons, Robert and James Dixon; one brother, Clyde Yarbrough; three sisters, Louise
Moody, Pauline Copeland and Laura Ette Yarbrough.
Survivors include one son, Phillip Dixon and wife, Evelyn,
of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Roy Yarbrough, of Malden; one sister, Barbara
Bullard, of Golf Shores, Ala.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26,
at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Burial will follow at the Little Prairie Cemetery in
Caruthersville, Mo.
